La Nunery Apothecary

Building my own brand from the ground up

My Role
Owner + Founder. I wear all the hats: brand, packaging, product, photography, marketing and the shop.

Project Scope
Brand Identity · Packaging System · Labels · Merchandise · Product Photography · E-commerce

The Challenge

La Nunery Apothecary makes small-batch soaps, hand-poured soy candles and bath oils. On a shelf or a market table, it sits next to brands with far bigger budgets.

The packaging has one job: make someone pick it up, trust it and remember the name.

The System

Identity. A hand-drawn botanical mark framed in a diamond, paired with a clean, open wordmark. It feels handmade and calm, and it holds up at any size, from a soap band to a tote bag.

A packaging system that stretches across soaps, candles, bath oils and boxes, so a full table reads as one brand while each product still gets its own name and voice.

Labels with a hierarchy: brand first, product name second in a handwritten script, then ingredients and details, so shoppers can find their scent at a glance.

Merchandise and photography that carry the brand off the shelf and onto social and the website.

The Result

The brand won a GDUSA American Inhouse Design Award in 2023.

Why it's here

Every small-business client is where I was: a maker who needs to look like they belong on the shelf. Because this is my own brand, I've tested every decision on real customers. This is proof I know how to do it from the inside.

Got a project like this?

Starting or growing a small business? I’ve been where you are. Let’s build a brand that belongs on the shelf.
